About the Role
Clicks Pharmacy is seeking a passionate Pharmacist who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service excellence. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring the dispensary operates efficiently while achieving sales, compliance, and customer satisfaction targets.
Job Purpose
Ensure the effective and compliant operation of the dispensary by delivering high standards of pharmaceutical care, supporting commercial performance, and creating a competitive advantage through service excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Objectives:
- Deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care, including safe and accurate dispensing, generic substitution, and professional patient counselling in line with company standards, Good Pharmacy Practice, and the legal scope of practice as defined by the South African Pharmacy Council.
- Manage all dispensary operations efficiently, including stock control, shrinkage prevention, housekeeping, and administration in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Drive the operational performance of the dispensary by achieving core dispensary and clinic targets.
- Lead, coach, and develop Pharmacist Assistants and Pharmacist Interns in line with regulatory requirements to ensure a competent and motivated team.
- Implement customer service initiatives within the dispensary to enhance customer experience, build loyalty, and achieve clubcard participation targets.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including centre management, suppliers, and distribution centres, to achieve business objectives and maximise opportunities.
- Partner with the clinic and healthcare aisle to deliver an integrated healthcare offering to customers.
- Support the Group’s vision by living and driving company values to position the brand as the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential: Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council
Desirable: Retail pharmacy experience
Desirable: Experience with Unisolve
