Job Description
Perform physical cycle counts of stock and reconcile with system stock on hand. Investigate and capture variances, and identify damaged stock, incorrect pricing, or SKU errors for reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 with 1 year relevant experience, or 2 years related experience
  • Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language
  • Literate with strong numeric skills
  • Accuracy and ability to work under pressure
  • Basic computer skills
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Key Performance Areas

Perpetual Inventory Counts

  • Conduct daily stock counts according to the PIC count cycle
  • Investigate all variances, positive or negative, and report results to the Store Manager
  • Rectify negative stock quantities with approval from the Store Manager
  • Identify and report damaged stock
  • Assist with mini stock-takes and wall-to-wall stock-take preparations
  • Complete normal PIC counts during full stock-takes

Reporting

  • Report daily variances to Store or Divisional Manager as per the Cashbuild Way
  • Report irregularities, incorrect pricing, SKU errors, damaged stock, and poor merchandising
  • Highlight bulk stock areas requiring special attention

PIC Adjustments

  • Ensure all adjustments are actioned, verified, and signed off by Management
  • Validate “End of Day Reports” against PIC adjustment sheets and file accordingly
  • Report any pending adjustments before the end of trading day

Filing and Administration

  • Complete, approve, and file all PIC documents daily

Ready for Business

  • Adhere to “Ready for Business” and “Beyond My Control” standards as per the CB Way

Customer Service

  • Follow Cashbuild dress code and display name badge visibly
  • Assist with customer complaints promptly

Safety (OHSA) Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of safety equipment
  • Report safety discrepancies to the Store Manager
  • Maintain a safe environment for customers and colleagues
