Job Purpose
Join DHL Global Forwarding as an OCC Specialist and play a key role in managing ocean freight pricing and operational strategies. You will support the execution of commercial strategies, maintain competitive tariffs, and drive profitability while ensuring seamless customer engagement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update country OCC tariffs within relevant templates and systems

• Support execution of OFR and local commercial strategies

• Implement competitive and strategic pricing solutions, including seasonal offers, trade lane campaigns, and special offers

• Identify optimal pricing solutions to maximize profitability of ocean freight services

• Provide timely and accurate pricing for new business opportunities at country level, following standard factor-based methodologies

• Respond to GBT bids and provide feedback to regional teams

• Manage Tier 4 local BC Sales, delivering fast responses to Level 1 and 2 opportunities, and set tariffs for Level 3 and 4 opportunities

• Monitor profitability and volume growth, particularly on ITM lanes, escalating risk decisions where necessary

• Interact with customers to provide accurate ocean freight estimates within SLA turnaround times

• Maintain proactive communication with colleagues and managers, keeping estimate registers and QuoteShop rates up to date

• Provide weekly and monthly reports on pricing activities, estimate completions, and success rates

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of ocean freight forwarding and market rates

• Commercial acumen with analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills

• Ability to manage multiple bids/projects simultaneously under pressure

• Solutions-driven, self-motivated, and eager to learn

• Strong team player with excellent communication skills

• High attention to detail and ability to meet SLA deadlines
