Job Description

  • Implement proactive talent acquisition strategies to attract and manage a pool of future talent efficiently.
  • Build and maintain the company’s professional network through HR relationships, suppliers, and industry connections.
  • Recommend initiatives to enhance the employer brand.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned positions, including conducting interviews and creating shortlists of suitable candidates.
  • Develop role-specific interview questions and track recruitment metrics.
  • Research and implement new sourcing methods and select effective job advertising channels.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of recruitment information to Payroll.
  • Maintain proper filing and storage of all recruitment documentation.
  • Use data analytics to monitor vacancies and potential openings to reduce the cost of unfilled positions.
  • Provide management with decision support through talent acquisition and HR metrics.
  • Maintain records of all recruited employees to track recruitment success and staffing levels.
  • Oversee the management and allocation of Roaming Administrators for short-term operational support, ensuring clear accountability and alignment with business priorities.
  • Drive adherence to the requisition workflow process and ensure effective utilisation of the Application Tracking System (ATS).
  • Manage various job portals and oversee the Talent Acquisition budget, including cost control and forecasting.
  • Review and approve invoices for Finance processing.
  • Lead the Talent Acquisition team, set goals, provide guidance, motivate, and ensure team productivity.
  • Stay updated on labour legislation and ensure team compliance with regulatory changes.
  • Conduct benchmarking, review best practices, and research market-related salaries for vacancies.
  • Advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and plan for future recruitment needs.
  • Manage service-level agreements with suppliers and collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, and hiring managers on all recruitment activities.
  • Ensure recruitment policies, practices, and processes comply with employment laws and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Evaluate and improve recruiting procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
  • Relevant Degree in Human Resources or related field (Essential)
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in a mid-sized organisation, with at least 3 years in a managerial role (Essential)
  • Proven experience as a Recruitment/Talent Acquisition Manager (Essential)
  • Experience with career portals such as Pnet, LinkedIn, and ATS systems (Essential)
  • Experience with HRIS systems like Sage and SageX3 (Advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of HR management practices, procedures, and labour legislation (BCEA, EEA, SDA, Codes of Good Practice)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and recruitment software
