We are seeking a talented and driven Manager in Training to join our Butchery team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee resources, maximise turnover, and ensure that all standards, processes, and policies are followed—delivering premium cuts and exceptional customer experiences.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Blockman with 2–3 years’ supervisory experience in a retail or butchery environment
- Extensive knowledge of meat cuts, food safety, and butchery techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for high-quality products
- Experience in inventory management and waste reduction

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee daily butchery operations, including inventory control and ordering
- Ensure top-quality cuts are consistently available for customers
- Maintain compliance with all meat handling, storage, and display standards
Customer Service
- Provide expert advice and custom cuts to meet customer needs
- Deliver exceptional service to enhance the customer experience
Sales & Profitability
- Develop strategies to drive sales and maximise departmental profitability
- Implement initiatives to reduce waste and optimise stock
Staff Management
- Lead, train, and mentor butchery staff to maintain high performance and service standards
- Ensure staff are knowledgeable, skilled, and motivated to deliver excellent service
