About the Role
PwC is expanding its Guidewire/Insurance team within the South African Technology & Innovation Centre (SATIC). As a Guidewire Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions for our clients in the insurance sector.
What Will You Do?
- Participate in business requirements and design discussions to implement solutions on Guidewire projects.
- Estimate development efforts during sprint planning and deliver high-quality configurations and integrations.
- Develop, test, and document software solutions in alignment with Guidewire best practices.
- Collaborate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives under Agile methodology.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and mentor junior team members.
What Are We Looking For?
Senior Developer Requirements:
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- 2+ years in the Insurance domain, preferably Property & Casualty/General Insurance.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, or Digital Portals).
- Proficiency in GOSU, Java/J2EE, Web Services (REST/JSON, SOAP), XML, SQL, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Git.
Nice to Have:
- Cloud experience (AWS/Azure).
- Guidewire Certification (latest version).
- Exposure to Product Designer or Rating integrations.
