POSITION SUMMARY
We seek a qualified Compliance Officer to deliver expert compliance and risk management services at a regional level, ensuring adherence to FSCA regulations. Only applicants meeting the requirements will be considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver outsourced compliance services to financial services clients.
- Ensure adherence to FAIS, FICA, and related legislation (e.g., POPI, Companies Act, Insurance Act).
- Establish a compliance culture and implement risk frameworks for clients.
- Support clients in achieving TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) outcomes.
- Serve both Independent FSPs and Corporate clients.
- Meet deadlines and standards set by the Regional Manager.
- Provide personalized, high-quality compliance reports.
- Engage clients in compliance processes with post-monitoring feedback.
- Maintain accurate business records.
- Foster teamwork and uphold company values.
- Assist in sourcing and onboarding new clients.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- FSCA-registered Compliance Officer (mandatory).
- Approval for Category I FSCA license (minimum).
- Legal, Accounting, or FSCA-recognized compliance qualification.
- 3+ years in financial services compliance or risk management.
- Valid driver’s license.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Expertise in FICA, FAIS, and risk management (POPI knowledge preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently and in teams.
- Confident presentation and client engagement abilities.
