Business and Solutions Analyst – Value Logistics
Purpose of the Job
The Business and Solutions Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of partner implementations, system integrations, and new solution deployments for Value Logistics and its customers. Operating within a complex supply chain environment, this role ensures seamless technical integration between suppliers, principals, retailers, and the Value Logistics processing platform. The position combines pre-sales consultancy, solution design, and hands-on project execution to deliver scalable, reliable, and commercially effective technology solutions.
As part of the IT Applications team, the Business and Solutions Analyst provides critical technical and systems capability to the business, supporting growth, optimisation, and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design and Pre-Sales Support

Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Value Logistics processing platform and its integration capabilities

Provide pre-sales consultancy in collaboration with business and sales teams to prospective and existing partners

Present and recommend standardised technical architectures and integration approaches that optimise functionality, reduce risk, and improve time-to-market

Design end-to-end integration and business process solutions in collaboration with partner technical teams
Project Delivery and Execution

Create detailed integration project plans in collaboration with PMO resources, internal teams, and third-party stakeholders

Initiate and manage projects within the IT environment, securing resources through established governance processes

Communicate project scope, timelines, and delivery expectations clearly to all stakeholders

Take full ownership and accountability for the execution of integration, development, and process optimisation projects

Facilitate technical engagements, including network connectivity, system interfaces, file exchanges, and API integrations

Ensure development aligns with approved solution designs and technical specifications

Coordinate development, unit testing, and validation activities, supporting final sign-off processes
Business Process and Stakeholder Management

Document and analyse business processes to identify optimisation and streamlining opportunities

Present proposed solutions to the business for approval prior to implementation

Lead scoping, sizing, documentation, implementation, and user training activities where required

Provide regular project status updates and reporting to senior stakeholders

Act as a functional and technical subject matter expert to the business and external partners

Support the resolution of system incidents and operational issues as required

Promote standardisation, consistency, and quality across all solutions and integrations

Perform additional responsibilities in line with business and IT leadership requirements
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)

Proven experience delivering partner integration projects, preferably within supply chain, logistics, or retail environments

Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently

Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Skills and Competencies

Strong technical experience in the design, specification, and delivery of IT solutions
