About the Role
The BREWING PROCESS ARTISAN is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining brewing processes to ensure high-quality production and optimal performance. This role applies technical expertise, problem-solving, and continuous improvement practices to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations within AB InBev.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Operating and Process Control
- Operate process areas in accordance with work instructions and usage standards.
- Conduct required quality checks following established quality control and analysis procedures.
- Record waste accurately in documentation or information systems and review trends to identify issues or improvement opportunities.
- Monitor process performance against targets and complete all short interval control documentation.
- Respond promptly to upstream or downstream triggers that may cause process stoppages.
- Apply problem-solving methods as detailed in the problem-solving work practice.
- Perform housekeeping tasks, follow 5S principles, and maintain safe work practices.
- Identify and correct unsafe work practices.
- Support fellow team members in executing tasks and resolving operational issues.
- Apply appropriate problem-solving techniques (e.g., 5Y analysis, quick-fix routines) to identify and correct issues.
- Escalate unresolved problems to team leaders and verify that corrective actions are effective.
Continuous Improvement
- Use run/control charts and trend analysis to identify sources of waste and process variation.
- Apply short-stop analysis, Pareto charts, and other tools to simplify activities and improve efficiency.
- Document identified improvement opportunities on the team gap list and involve team members or specialists as needed.
Maintenance and Support
- Perform in-depth cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of machines according to work instructions and maintenance schedules.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks and escalate issues beyond the artisan’s scope to the team leader.
- Participate in maintenance and cleaning days, supporting the maintenance team as per the issued schedule.
- Contribute to maintenance postmortems to improve future operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Trade test qualification in Instrumentation.
- Minimum N3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
