Shoprite is seeking a motivated and ambitious Assistant Designate Manager to support the store’s Management Team while gaining hands-on experience in the operational and leadership functions required to run a Checkers store. This role is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully manage store operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities

Learn and apply core principles of effective store management.

Assist in driving sales and profitability while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Contribute to the recruitment, training, and development of store team members.

Support operational initiatives in alignment with company policies and procedures.

Participate in stock management, inventory control, and merchandising strategies to boost sales.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health, and safety within the store.
Qualifications

Grade 12 / Matric.

A diploma or degree in Business Management, HR, or a related field is an advantage.
Experience
-
Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.

Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within any retail environment.
Knowledge & Skills

Strong leadership potential with the ability to inspire and support a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
