Sales Representative at Value Logistics
Purpose of the Job
To promote and sell Value Logistics services, with a focus on Value Truck Rental and cross-selling other services such as Linehaul, Value Equipment, Fridge Fleet, Freightpak, Warehousing, Clearing and Forwarding, Moving Billboards, and Express.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Gather and analyze client transport, distribution, and expenditure data.
- Evaluate potential sales opportunities using focus factors (G,S,B).
- Research and understand competitors in your area.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to foster trust.
- Identify customer service needs and provide accurate Value Logistics service quotes.
- Expand existing client base by understanding their business and cross-selling services.
- Successfully close sales deals.
- Target and engage with national accounts.
- Maintain knowledge of client contracts with Value Logistics.
- Ensure services align with current customer requirements.
- Understand client business needs to drive growth.
- Strategize sales calls for maximum value.
- Maintain service levels according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Maintain frequent contact with key business stakeholders.
- Stay updated on product knowledge.
- Resolve client issues promptly (e.g., invoicing, claims, PODs).
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
- Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Submit reports and sales documentation on time.
- Meet team expectations and performance goals.
- Achieve budgets and targets set by Management.
- Assist with additional tasks as reasonably requested by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Previous sales experience.
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans.
Skills Required
- Ability to apply various sales techniques.
- Strong ability to identify customer needs.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong customer relationship management.
- Understanding of risk management principles.
- Ability to independently assess and accept risk outcomes.
