We are looking for a strategic and financially astute Head of Commercial & Finance to lead financial and commercial operations. This key role demands a proactive leader who can drive financial performance while supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive financial expertise and a proven track record in commercial strategy execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Commercial Strategy:
- Develop and lead all commercial activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide strategic input on pipeline development, revenue growth, and cost management.
- Review and adjudicate supplier proposals, perform financial analysis, and present recommendations.
- Evaluate post-implementation project performance against business cases.
Commercial Business Development:
- Drive commercialization efforts, including market strategy, solution development, and commercial offerings.
- Collaborate with business units to gather essential data for solar and water solutions proposals.
- Identify technical solutions to enhance business efficiency.
- Mitigate risks through Contract reviews, insurance strategies, and control implementation.
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Design and implement commercial funding solutions with external partners.
- Develop cost-recovery models for electricity and water consumption.
- Ensure compliance, risk management, and financial policy adherence.
- Manage cash flow projections and external audits.
Requirements:
- 8–10 years of senior financial management experience, preferably in solar or real estate.
- CA(SA) qualification with expertise in IFRS.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAGE, Archibus, MDA, DealPath).
- Property/real estate experience is advantageous.
