General Assistant – Cashbuild
Description
Cashbuild is seeking a proactive General Assistant to deliver exceptional customer service, manage stock merchandising, maintain shelf price labelling, and ensure high standards of housekeeping within the store.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 10/NQF 3 with 1+ year of related experience or Grade 12 without prior experience.
- Fluency in English and the dominant local language.
- Valid South African ID or work permit.
- Basic math skills for accurate calculations.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Key Performance Areas
Customer Service
- Provide expert product advice and resolve customer inquiries.
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly.
Merchandising Standards
- Stock and display products safely according to store layout plans.
- Maintain accurate shelf pricing and adhere to planograms.
Housekeeping
- Keep aisles clear, ensuring a safe and accessible shopping environment.
- Complete canteen and toilet/shower cleaning checklists as scheduled.
Safety Compliance (OHSA)
- Follow safety protocols, including proper gear usage.
- Report hazards and ensure safe stock placement for customers and staff.
Stock Loss Management
- Identify and report damaged stock to the Store Manager.
