Description
As a Divisional Internal Auditor at Cashbuild, you will deliver internal audit services at store and divisional levels, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Your role will focus on providing assurance to management through thorough audits and reviews, driving operational integrity and risk mitigation.
Requirements
- NQF Level 6 Internal Audit diploma with 4+ years of internal audit experience.
- Strong understanding of IIA standards.
- Working knowledge of critical business processes (accounting, finance, procurement, inventory).
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- CIA qualification and retail industry experience (advantageous).
- Proficiency in internal audit software (BarnOwl experience preferred).
Key Performance Areas
Compliance Reviews
- Execute store-level audits, including compliance, roaming, store opening/closure audits, and detailed testing of policy adherence.
Follow-Up Reviews
- Conduct audits to assess corrective actions and ensure resolution of identified issues.
Technical & Special Projects
- Enhance existing audit programs and develop new ones for emerging focus areas.
- Review and update company policies and procedures.
Special Investigations
- Lead investigations into tip-offs, management requests, or high-risk areas identified through data analysis.
- Perform stock take reviews.
Provide Direction
- Develop operational plans aligned with company objectives.
- Uphold policies, model company values, and inspire team commitment.
