About the team:
We’re a multidisciplinary team of Product Designers and UX Writers building products that empower millions to explore cryptocurrency with confidence. Design is central at Luno, and we’re looking for a UX Writer who shares our passion for impactful, user-centered design.
The role in a nutshell:
As a junior UX Writer on the Product Design team, you’ll craft clear, intuitive product copy that helps customers navigate Luno effortlessly. Working with UX Writers, designers, and engineers, you’ll shape language that enhances usability and accessibility while learning design systems, content testing, and product development.
Your mission will involve:
- Writing user-focused interface copy for web and mobile (buttons, labels, error messages, etc.).
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine the user experience through language.
- Contributing to Luno’s content design system (Matter) with reusable patterns and voice guidelines.
- Applying design thinking: problem-solving, testing, and iterating on content.
- Participating in user research, usability testing, and A/B experiments to validate content.
- Advocating for clarity and consistency across the product.
- Balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
A little about you:
- 2–3 years of writing experience, ideally in UX writing, content design, or digital products.
- A portfolio showcasing product copy or interface writing samples.
- Basic understanding of user-centered design and how words shape intuitive experiences.
- Familiarity with Figma, Miro, or UserTesting (or willingness to learn).
- Growth mindset—open to feedback and eager to contribute.
- Interest in fintech/crypto and simplifying complex topics for users.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience writing for web/mobile apps.
- Collaborative, curious, and detail-oriented.
- Degree in writing, communication, design, or equivalent experience.
- Bonus: Experience with digital products or technical writing.
In your first six months, you will:
- Onboard into your team and learn about crypto.
- Join design rituals and pod ceremonies with mentorship from UX Writers.
- Explore the relationship between fiat and crypto.
- Understand Luno’s payment integrations.
