Job Summary
As an Adviser AIFA Everyday Banking STLT (FAIS), you will identify long-term (life) risk and provide expert advice to clients on life assurance needs within the limited architecture framework. Your role includes offering tailored solutions for insurance and financial planning, ensuring regular portfolio reviews to build a sustainable broker practice.

Job Description

Build and Maintain Stakeholder Relationships

  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with clients, bank personnel, product providers, and support staff.
  • Participate in sales and pipeline meetings to identify new or repeat business opportunities through Absa’s bancassurance structure.
  • Assess client needs using recommended tools, ensuring awareness of AIFA’s value proposition.
  • Prepare and present tailored risk and investment solutions, adhering to FAIS compliance.
  • Provide regular updates to the Regional Manager on conversion progress.
  • Network with Everyday Banking teams to promote Absa Advisers’ value proposition.

Achieve Sales and Growth Targets

  • Conduct activity planning and client outreach in alignment with Everyday Advice Executives.
  • Utilize leads and conduct Financial Needs Analysis using Absa’s tools.
  • Secure client consent to review policies and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Generate formal recommendations and complete necessary documentation (e.g., Client Advice Record, FICA).
  • Submit proposals and ensure policy issuances match recommendations.
  • Conduct annual portfolio reviews to strengthen client relationships.
  • Report on lead conversions and pursue external business opportunities.

Manage Commission Earnings

  • Ensure accurate PRI number entries in the commission system.
  • Reconcile monthly commission statements and update client databases.
  • Address unpaid premiums and lapses by engaging clients proactively.
  • Clear suspense accounts by month-end deadlines.

Practice Management

  • Define roles and responsibilities for Adviser Assistants.
  • Facilitate training (systems, products, operations) for staff.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance skills development.
  • Participate in performance discussions as per Absa standards.

Education
Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC): Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required).
