Young Professional-in-Training Programme
Company: Transnet Rail Infrastructure (TRIM)

Transnet Rail Infrastructure (TRIM) invites driven, unemployed South African graduates aged 18–35 to apply for a two-year Young Professional-in-Training programme. This structured development opportunity combines formal training and hands-on experience across various TRIM departments, equipping you with skills to enhance employability. Progress is evaluated every six months to ensure alignment with personal and organisational goals.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • South African citizen, aged 18–35.
  • Bachelor’s degree/BTech (NQF Level 6 or higher) in Social Work from a DHET-registered university or university of technology.
  • No prior work experience in the field of study.

  • Business acumen, administrative proficiency, and computer literacy.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-centric problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and self-motivation.
  • Analytical thinking, conflict resolution, and research abilities.

Programme Structure:

  • 24-month mentored training with rotations across TRIM depots/departments.
  • Regular assessments to foster growth and accountability.
