Role Purpose
The Store Manager is responsible for driving the overall performance and profitability of the store by managing key financial indicators, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading a capable, motivated team. This role ensures operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities

Manage store financial performance, including sales, trading profit, stock levels, shrinkage, wastage, and expenses, ensuring alignment with budget targets.

Deliver consistently high standards of customer service and drive initiatives to improve the overall guest experience.

Lead, develop, and motivate the store team to build capability and meet current and future staffing needs.

Ensure compliance with all in-store processes, policies, and legal requirements.

Monitor and maintain store operations according to standard operating procedures, safety, and security requirements.

Oversee merchandising, including visual presentation, store layout, and planogram adherence.

Apply product knowledge and retail industry insights to optimise store performance.

Manage logistics, stock replenishment, and supply chain processes effectively.

Handle performance management, conflict resolution, and employee development initiatives.

Plan, organise, and delegate tasks to ensure smooth store operations and achievement of targets.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Experience

Matric / Grade 12 (essential)

Business or Retail Management Diploma (desirable)

1 to 3 years’ experience as a store manager in a retail environment (essential)
