Job Description
Truworths is seeking self-motivated individuals with experience in window dressing or visual merchandising. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while sharing our dedication to fashion, quality, and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure good housekeeping practices in display areas

  • Stay informed and implement changes in display procedures and updates

  • Keep up to date with current promotions and marketing campaigns

  • Represent and enhance the Truworths brand in all staff and customer interactions

  • Take pride in personal appearance and maintain a professional image

  • Answer staff and manager questions regarding fashion, promotions, and trends

  • Handle staff and customer queries related to displayed merchandise in windows and in-store

  • Stay calm and professional in conflict situations

  • Actively contribute to team performance and success

  • Take initiative to drive personal training and apply it to the workplace

  • Follow security protocols and procedures diligently

  • Accurately complete administrative documentation

  • Stay current with store safety procedures and policies (OHASA)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Skilled in creating displays, including building, painting, wiring, and dressing

  • Diligent in storing and maintaining models and props

  • Flexible and able to adapt to constant changes in the environment

  • Ability to understand and follow Implementation Manuals

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Creative fashion sense with an eye for detail

  • Good judgment and spatial awareness to utilize space effectively

  • Strong listening skills with the ability to follow instructions

  • Ability to plan, make decisions, and prioritize effectively

  • Physically fit, as the job requires lifting, standing, bending, and stretching
