Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Supervisor: Inventory is responsible for the efficient and accurate management and control of inventory within the warehouse. The role ensures that good Wholesale & Distribution Practice is adhered to at all times.
Job Objectives:

Ensure compliance with SOPs, company policies, and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards.

Manage productivity, including capacity management, order processing cycle time, manpower utilization, and minimizing unplanned downtime.

Oversee equipment maintenance and uptime by conducting regular asset inspections and generating reports as required.

Report daily performance and order status, and compile daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.

Ensure the achievement of daily operational targets related to order processing, including transfers and sales orders.

Supervise and conduct cycle counting and bin check processes.

Manage the return of stock to vendors and handle claims generated by operations.

Oversee the Inventory and Receiving departments for both Wholesale and Distribution.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the warehouse.

Manage the quality and output levels of inventory.

Supervise performance, training, and discipline of warehouse staff.

Set targets and deadlines for direct reports and ensure these are met.

Assist with stock counts within the PDC Wholesale and Distribution.

Resolve order disputes and claims both internally and externally.

Manage staff complement for overtime as required.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
Experience and Education:
-
Matric/NQF Level 4 (Essential)

Relevant Tertiary Qualifications (Advantageous)

3 – 5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical/Distribution & Wholesale/FMCG/Supply Chain & Logistics environments (Essential)

2 years of experience in dealing with supplier returns, with a strong understanding of supplier policies and proven experience in the inventory department.

1-2 years of supervisory or people management experience.

Experience with SAP and KNAPP systems will be advantageous.
Job-Related Knowledge and Skills:

Proficiency in WMS/ERP systems.

Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word and Excel).

In-depth product knowledge.

Financial understanding, including budgeting.
