Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the effective management and control of inventory within the warehouse, ensuring that good Wholesale & Distribution practices are followed. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance, optimizing warehouse operations, and driving performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure adherence to compliance, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies (SHEQ, QA).

SsssOversee productivity management, including capacity management, order processing cycle time, manning utilization, and addressing unplanned downtime.

Manage equipment uptime and maintenance, ensuring asset inspections and reports are completed as required.

Report daily performance and order status, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.

Ensure the achievement of daily operational targets.

Process orders within the required turnaround times, including transfers and sales orders.

Supervise and conduct cycle counting and bin check processes.

Manage return stock to vendors and address claims generated by operations.

Oversee inventory and receiving departments for both wholesale and distribution.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the warehouse.

Ensure quality and output levels meet company standards.

Manage staff performance, including training and discipline, while setting targets and deadlines for direct reports.

Assist in stock counts within the PDC wholesale and distribution sectors.

Resolve order disputes and claims, both internally and externally.

Manage overtime requirements for staff as needed.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Experience and Education:

Matric/NQF Level 4 (Essential)

Relevant Tertiary Qualifications (Advantageous)

3 to 5 years of experience in a Pharmaceutical, Distribution & Wholesale, FMCG, or Supply Chain & Logistics environment (Essential)

At least 2 years of experience in dealing with supplier returns, with a strong understanding of supplier policies and proven experience in the inventory department

1 to 2 years of supervisory or people management experience

SAP and KNAPP experience will be advantageous
Job-Related Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems
