Job Overview:
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of stock management, warehouse operations, and leading the stores personnel. This role ensures the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, maintaining accuracy and compliance with inventory procedures, and optimizing operational performance.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Suitable Qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain Management
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Inventory Management
- Proficient in MS Excel
- SAP or other inventory system experience (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory System Management: Develop and maintain inputs for the computerized inventory system, ensuring accurate capture of all items received and dispatched within regional deadlines.
- Stock and Purchase Order Oversight: Implement a check process for outstanding purchase orders, manage physical items and services received, and ensure system receipting for both stock and non-stock items.
- Stock Liquidation & Transfer: Coordinate stock liquidation and transfer to accurately reflect cost, age, and demand.
- Documentation & Internal Control: Ensure adherence to internal control procedures through regular documentation audits.
- Timely Stock Management: Ensure items are dispatched and received within regional deadlines, managing cycle count requirements and stock ratios in line with budget.
- Customer Service & Financial Objectives: Ensure internal and external customer service lead times are achieved within financial constraints, meeting marketing and financial objectives.
- Supplier Management: Monitor the quality of products from suppliers and ensure they adhere to delivery lead times.
- Procurement Collaboration: Liaise with Head Office procurement for vendor, product, and price list approvals, providing necessary support.
- Daily Stock Management: Manage the physical and system receipting and issuing of stock as per job schedule requirements.
- Access & Storage Control: Ensure strict access control to the warehouse and optimize storage space to enhance operational efficiency.
- Stock Take & Demand Planning: Coordinate monthly stock takes and manage the demand planning process for imported products.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and manage the warehouse team, ensuring their training and development needs are met. Schedule regular training sessions with suppliers to understand approved products.
- Compliance with Deadlines: Ensure all warehouse personnel (storeman, assistants, and administrators) meet monthly deadlines.

- Inventory holding values
- Stock turnover days
- Obsolescence percentage
- Open purchase order management
- Stock variances (investigation, reporting, and follow-up with full explanations)
