Support mechanical repairs, services, and tyre maintenance. Conduct vehicle tyre inspections, implement corrective actions, and respond to roadside breakdowns. Ensure vehicles are properly washed and cleaned before leaving the depot.

Key Responsibilities

Tyre Maintenance and Breakdown Assistance

• Strip and fit tyres

• Monitor and maintain tyre pressures

• Clean workshop and tyre bay tools

• Travel to sites to attend mechanical and tyre-related breakdowns

• Conduct regular tyre surveys and replace worn tyres

• Complete tyre change slips and ensure wheel nuts are torqued correctly

• Manage and maintain tyre stock

Mechanical and Workshop Support

• Assist with mechanical repairs, servicing, and breakdown maintenance

• Support general workshop functions as needed

• Complete job card service schedules and record parts used

• Help manage spare parts and tyre stock levels

• Maintain cleanliness in the workshop, parts area, tyre storage, and wash bay

• Provide additional operational support when required

Vehicle Wash and General Duties

• Wash and clean vehicles before dispatch

• Follow company dress code and hygiene standards

• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards daily

• Adhere to health and safety regulations

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)

• Experience in mechanical and tyre maintenance

Skills Required

• Ability to follow health and safety procedures under supervision

• Awareness of workplace hazards and ability to take corrective action under guidance
