Job Description
Are you an experienced Truck Driver with a commitment to safety and efficiency? We are looking for a Truck Driver to join our team, responsible for transporting stock between our receiving area and inventory warehouse. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate movement of goods while adhering to all safety regulations. This position requires flexibility, including working shifts during trading and non-trading hours, Sundays, and Public Holidays.
Key Responsibilities
As a Truck Driver, your duties will include:
- Transporting stock from receiving to the inventory warehouse efficiently and safely.
- Conducting put-away operations by accurately placing received inventory in the designated warehouse areas.
- Replenishing stock in the picking area for easy access by warehouse pickers.
- Assisting with bulk picking by delivering the correct quantities of goods to the checking bay.
- Participating in stocktaking alongside the inventory team.
- Completing a daily truck checklist to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment, optimizing space usage.
- Reporting any damages to supervisors immediately.
- Cooperating with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Following all health and safety standards strictly.
- Handling heavy lifting and moving products as required.
- Building product knowledge to ensure accurate and efficient picking and packing.
- Operating a scanner to track and record inventory movements accurately.
- Working efficiently during peak periods to meet warehouse demands.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver.
- A valid Reach Truck license.
- The ability to work 6 shifts per week, including weekends and Public Holidays.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving stock.
