Purpose of the Role: Shoprite is seeking an experienced Trainer: Accredited to deliver high-quality training within the specific divisional portfolio. This role involves utilizing the Training Delivery framework developed by the Group L&D Solutions to ensure effective training that aligns with business objectives. The Trainer will collaborate with the L&D team, People Partners, and the business to create and deliver suitable training inputs. The focus is on delivering accredited learning materials in line with SETA requirements, with occasional delivery of non-accredited content as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Delivery:
- Deliver training programs using a variety of methodologies and tools to ensure effectiveness and alignment with business goals.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Partner with the L&D team to develop and deliver high-quality accredited training interventions.
- Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with the L&D team, Divisional People Partner, and Training Delivery Manager.
- Ensure overall quality and compliance in all training processes.
- Plan, schedule, and arrange training sessions, including venues and materials.
- Facilitate effective knowledge transfer through professional training techniques.
- Administer and conduct training assessments and evaluations as needed.
- Maintain accurate training administration and update programs based on feedback and changes.
People Management and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Divisional Training team to deliver innovative and employee-centric training services.
- Foster a culture of wellness, support, and transparent communication within the team.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Grade 12, National Senior Certificate
- Registered as an assessor/moderator with W&R Seta
- Valid driver’s license
Experience:
- Essential: Minimum of 2 years in an Accredited Training Delivery role, with experience in delivering accredited content and managing assessments and moderation.
- Preferred: Experience within the FMCG, retail sector, or similar.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Essential:
- In-depth knowledge of human resources legislation, training practices, and accreditation requirements.
- Experience with assessment and moderation processes.
- Desirable:
- Familiarity with training technology and continuous improvement in training delivery services.
Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to relevant labor relations frameworks, organizational standards, and compliance requirements including H&S, POPI Act, and Skills Development Act.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to training delivery.
