As a Trainee Manager Stores, you will work across various departments, preparing for a future role as a Store Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric (Advantageous)
• Sound numeracy skills and knowledge of the retail industry
• 2-3 years of retail experience is an added advantage
• Valid Driver’s License (Code 08) – attach certified copy of license
• Ability to pass required assessments and competency-based interviews
• Flexibility to be transferred between stores
• Authorization for a full credit and criminal check

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain hygiene, housekeeping, and safety standards in both the sales floor and back areas
• Adhere to security procedures and merchandise/display standards
• Conduct regular quality checks, ensure proper stock rotation, and remove damaged/expired stock
• Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages; verify correct pricing and labels
• Complete all administration accurately and on time
• Analyze, maintain, and update relevant information; take necessary actions
• Plan and implement sales promotions
• Advise and assist customers, listen to their requests, and provide appropriate products or services
• Monitor budgets and analyze department profitability, making recommendations or taking actions as needed
• Optimize stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages through effective ordering
• Manage and motivate employees to ensure high standards and competency
