Sanlam Vacancies – Trade Assistant – Offshore
Sanlam, a leader in financial services, is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Trade Assistant – Offshore to join our team. If you’re passionate about delivering exceptional service and contributing to operational excellence, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve unsettled currency conversion trades on the back-office administration system.
- Process entries to address bank reconciliation breaks.
- Manage cash payments, fees, and invoices as required.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, counterparty contacts, and third-party service providers to resolve reconciliation issues.
- Prepare offshore bank reconciliation reports for management.
- Address business queries regarding bank reconciliations.
- Communicate reconciliation issues affecting trading or client reporting to operations teams and business units.
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in company-wide projects.
- Update and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and checklists.
- Support team members with tasks and initiatives when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or Economics.
- Relevant experience in the financial services industry is essential.
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with financial services or fund administration processes preferred.
- Understanding of private client business and the stockbroking environment.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
