Technical Specialist (InfoArchive)
This role focuses on managing and supporting the OpenText InfoArchive data archiving platform for various clients. Responsibilities include capacity management, user administration, troubleshooting, and overall support for InfoArchive processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support solutions using the OpenText InfoArchive platform
- Work with integrated solutions leveraging InfoArchive technologies
- Provide technical support and maintenance for PostgreSQL databases
- Install, upgrade, and maintain third-party software solutions
- Develop technical documentation and operating procedures for InfoArchive solutions
- Estimate task efforts and recommend work allocations
- Execute disaster recovery processes and conduct regular testing
- Report on the progress of technical tasks and enhancements
- Maintain and enhance systems based on business requirements while adhering to technology standards
- Provide production support and participate in standby duties
- Share knowledge and transition skills to team members
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric required; relevant IT qualification is advantageous
- Minimum of one year of experience working with InfoArchive
- Development experience in a relevant technology stack
- Completed InfoArchive training
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Experience in solution development and system design
- Strong database skills, particularly with PostgreSQL
- Understanding of Enterprise Content Management technologies and processes
- Ability to manage and resolve technical issues efficiently, collaborating with support teams
