Job Description:

Buco is seeking a dedicated Supervisor: Yard to manage our yard operations efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will oversee stock management, team supervision, and ensure the highest standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stock Documentation: Accurately document all stock items to ensure proper tracking and accountability.
2. Material Handling: Oversee the offloading of materials, ensuring they are handled with care and safety.
3. Goods Verification: Verify goods received against delivery notes and orders to ensure accuracy.
4. Safety Procedures: Maintain and enforce safety procedures to create a secure working environment.
5. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
6. Stock Rotation: Ensure proper stock rotation to minimize losses and maintain inventory quality.
7. Loss Control: Implement and manage loss control measures to protect company assets.
8. Housekeeping & Safety: Uphold health and safety standards while ensuring the yard is clean and organized.
9. Team Management: Inspire, motivate, and manage the yard team to meet store objectives.
10. Equipment Checks: Regularly check forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
11. Physical Stock Checks: Conduct physical stock checks to maintain accurate inventory records.
12. Discrepancy Reporting: Report any stock discrepancies to management immediately.
13. Company Values: Uphold and promote Buco’s values and culture in all tasks and interactions.

Requirements:

• Education: Grade 12
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, with relevant building materials product knowledge
• Licenses: Forklift/Driver’s license
• Skills:
  • Multilingual ability is an advantage
  • Health & safety training
  • Proficiency in relevant systems and product knowledge
