Qualifications
- Matric or equivalent
- 3-5 years of retail experience as a Shop Assistant
- Computer literate
- Strong communication skills
- Additional qualifications related to retail or business are advantageous
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Exceptional customer care skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers
- Proficient in accurate and efficient till operations
- High standard of work on the sales floor with attention to housekeeping and quality
- Strong attendance and punctuality record
- Ability to consistently apply company values, policies, and procedures
- Understanding of visual merchandising strategies, stock intensity, and SKU availability
- Excellent planning and delegation skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Integrity and reliability
- Ability to handle high-stress situations
- Willingness to work retail trading hours
- Understanding of the receiving procedure and stockroom maintenance
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales budgets and maximizing profits
- Support merchandise management and stock loss prevention
- Assist in financial management and execution
- Handle administration and information management tasks
- Ensure proper stock holding and policy adherence
- Provide support in human resources and team management
