Job Purpose: Assist in the effective day-to-day management of the store, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the store in the absence of the Manager or during alternating shifts with the Manager.
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas.
• Establish or identify prices of goods and services, or use optical price scanners as needed.
• Handle customer complaints and provide information on store policies and procedures.
• Work overtime as required.
• Liaise with internal and external clients to ensure efficient communication.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals.
• Perform cashier duties and provide excellent client service as needed.
• Manage stock, including fresh, frozen, and smoked fish products.
• Handle incoming stock and perform filleting on fresh products.

Requirements, Skills, and Competencies:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Strong process and product knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new situations.
• Proactive and customer-service oriented.
• Must comply with a Pre-Placement Analysis.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
