Responsibilities

Stock Management:

  • Oversee accurate receipt and unpacking of stock to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to mitigate risks such as stock loss and ensure adequate inventory.
  • Ensure the stockroom meets housekeeping standards.
  • Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.

Sales Growth & Profitability:

  • Analyze sales and profitability reports to develop action plans with management, boost sales performance, and monitor store expenditure.
  • Review and report on in-store product performance to support center and enhance sales.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and brand visibility.

Risk Management:

  • Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

Customer Experience Management:

  • Implement and maintain customer experience processes, including markdowns, repricing, promotions, and visual standards, to meet service excellence standards.

Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and motivate the store team to achieve KPIs and operational goals aligned with company values.
  • Identify and drive training, coaching, and development needs, focusing on talent management and succession planning.
  • Recruit, manage performance, and handle administrative tasks in accordance with company policies.

Innovation:

  • Implement and drive innovative initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and improve store processes.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in retail management or a supervisory role.
  • Strong skills in sales, service management, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of retail trade, brand, customer, and product.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for home décor and design.
