Job Description
As a Supervisor at Tekkie Town, your role will be to support the Store Manager in the efficient operation of the store. You will be responsible for supervising staff, assisting customers, and ensuring the store delivers a positive shopping experience. Key duties include providing product knowledge, maintaining stock availability, upholding housekeeping standards, staying informed on fashion trends, and minimizing stock losses.
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a similar retail environment
- Computer literacy
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Strong team player with good time management
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
- Strong communication skills
- Customer service-oriented and relationship-building abilities
- Confidence, decisiveness, and passion for the brand
- Social media savvy with a keen sense of fashion trends
- Resilience and adaptability
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Process transactions efficiently at the tills
- Assist customers with product selections to boost sales
- Ensure new stock is replenished and displayed on the sales floor
- Maintain ticketing and visual merchandising standards
- Support the Store Manager with day-to-day tasks
- Supervise staff in completing their daily responsibilities
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly administrative duties are completed, including banking
- Manage inventory and ensure store equipment is secure and accounted for
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
- Understand and work towards store sales targets
- Assist in creating action plans to minimize stock loss
