Qualifications

  • Matric or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of retail experience, preferably as a Shop Assistant
  • Proficient in computer literacy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Additional qualifications in retail/business will be advantageous

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with customers
  • Accurate and efficient till operation skills
  • High standards for work on the sales floor, ensuring quality and maintaining housekeeping standards
  • Proactive and willing to take initiative when needed
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality record
  • Commitment to applying company values, policies, and procedures consistently
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising (VM) strategy, stock intensity, and SKU availability
  • Effective planning, delegation, and team leadership skills
  • Personal integrity and the ability to handle stress well
  • Flexibility to work retail trading hours
  • Understanding of stock receiving procedures and ability to maintain stockroom organization

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and maximizing profits
  • Support with merchandise management and stock loss prevention
  • Contribute to financial processes, including budget management
  • Handle administrative tasks and ensure operational efficiency
  • Maintain proper stock levels and adhere to inventory policies
  • Provide support in human resource functions, including team supervision and development
