SPAR is seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our team and drive the success of our store. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies to improve customer service, boost sales, increase profitability, and grow our customer base. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and drive store sales while managing gross profit.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the existing business.
- Manage store budgets and ensure performance targets are met.
- Oversee and evaluate the performance of teams across various departments.
- Create and implement strategies to enhance customer service.
- Uphold and maintain brand quality and consistency.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive sales growth.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (a retail qualification would be an advantage).
- 3-4 years of experience in a store management role.
- Knowledge of hardware and building materials would be beneficial.
- Passion for entrepreneurial thinking and business growth.
- Strong decision-making and assertiveness.
- Excellent ability to build strategic relationships with staff and customers.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A self-starter with strong planning and organizational skills.
- Solid knowledge of retail legal, compliance, and commercial requirements.
- Financial acumen and numeracy skills.
- Strong leadership and influencing abilities.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and driven individual.
Inherent Job Requirements:
- Flexibility to work varying hours based on retail operational demands.
- A valid South African driver’s license.
- Own transport.
