Job Description:
Tekkie Town is seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store, ensuring it runs efficiently and delivers an exceptional customer experience. The Store Manager will be responsible for motivating sales teams, developing store-specific business strategies, implementing promotional activities, managing expenses, and training new staff. Additionally, the role focuses on maintaining stock availability, ensuring excellent housekeeping, staying up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, and minimizing stock losses to maximize profitability.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of management experience in a similar environment
- Proficient in computer use
- Ability to work well under pressure and remain resilient
- Strong leadership and staff management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy
- Good time management and problem-solving skills
- Customer service-oriented with a passion for building and maintaining relationships
- Confidence, decisiveness, and a passion for the brand
- Social media savvy and fashionable
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruiting, training, supervising, and appraising staff
- Managing store staff and daily operations
- Overseeing budgets, including profit & loss and payroll management
- Maintaining statistical and financial records (daily, weekly, and monthly administration)
- Handling customer queries and complaints professionally
- Maximizing profitability and setting/achieving sales targets while motivating staff
- Ensuring effective visual merchandising and housekeeping
- Managing inventory and ensuring stock availability
- Securing and accounting for store equipment
- Maintaining health and safety standards for both customers and staff
- Understanding and achieving store-specific sales targets
- Developing and implementing action plans to minimize stock loss
