Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store. This role is pivotal in achieving store objectives, meeting sales targets, and upholding customer service standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Stock Management:
    • Ensure accurate receipt and unpacking of stock to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
    • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes (e.g., stock counts, stock takes, stock loss action plans) to mitigate risks and ensure sufficient stock.
    • Maintain the stockroom to meet high housekeeping standards.
    • Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.
  • Sales Growth & Profitability:
    • Analyze sales and profitability reports to collaborate with management on operational action plans, boost sales performance, and monitor store expenditures.
    • Review in-store product performance and provide feedback to the support center to enhance sales.
    • Identify and propose new opportunities for increasing sales and brand awareness, including in-store marketing, competitor shopping, local events, and driving new accounts/memberships (if applicable).
  • Risk Management:
    • Conduct compliance checks through defined processes (e.g., admin checks, store audits, visual audits, COMO reports, POS reports, health & safety standards, weekly hanger counts) to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Customer Experience Management:
    • Implement and maintain customer experience processes (e.g., business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer experience plans, visual standards, customer feedback) to meet and exceed customer service standards.
  • Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and motivate the team to achieve store KPIs and align with the company’s operational strategy and values.
    • Identify and drive training, coaching, and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
    • Recruit, administer, and manage staff performance according to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12.
  • 3 years of experience in Store or Assistant Store Management, preferably in a similar retail environment.
  • Strong skills in sales and service management.
  • Proficient in budgeting and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of retail trade, brand, customer, and product.
