Job Description

As a Store Manager, you will lead and oversee daily store operations to ensure that objectives, targets, and customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded.

Responsibilities:

Stock Management:

  • Accurately receive, unpack, merchandise, and replenish stock on the sales floor.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes, including stock counts and loss prevention measures, to ensure adequate stock on hand and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee stockroom maintenance to meet housekeeping standards.
  • Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.

Sales Growth & Profitability:

  • Analyze in-store sales and profitability reports to collaborate with management on operational action plans, enhance sales performance, and control store expenditure.
  • Review and monitor product performance to provide feedback and drive sales improvement.
  • Identify and propose opportunities to boost sales and brand awareness, including in-store marketing, competitor analysis, local events, and driving new accounts or memberships.

Risk Management:

  • Conduct compliance checks through admin checks, store audits, and visual inspections to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Implement and monitor health & safety standards, security measures, and other risk management protocols.

Customer Experience Management:

  • Implement and maintain customer experience processes, including markdowns, repricing, promotions, and visual standards, to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and motivate the store team to achieve KPIs and operational goals in alignment with company values.
  • Identify and address training and development needs, focusing on talent management and succession planning.
  • Recruit, manage, and assess staff performance in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12.
  • 3 years of experience in Store or Assistant Store Management, preferably in a similar retail environment.
  • Strong skills in sales and service management, budgeting, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and understanding of retail trade, brand, customer, and product.
