Purpose of the Position:
As a Store Manager at PEP, your role is to lead the store team to meet business objectives, including driving sales, managing costs, reducing risks, minimizing stock loss, and overseeing administrative functions while maintaining world-class store standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Sales & Enhance Store Standards:
Boost sales by delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining the store’s image, managing stock effectively, and implementing promotional activities. - Stock & Loss Prevention:
Minimize stock loss by fostering a healthy store culture, adhering to security protocols, and ensuring proper stock and cash handling procedures are followed. - Cost Management:
Control store costs in line with the company’s low-cost culture by improving efficiency across operations. - Administrative Oversight:
Ensure all administrative tasks within the store are completed accurately and in accordance with company policies. - Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, train, and coach your team to reach their full potential, ensuring consistent performance and a motivated work environment. - Health & Safety Compliance:
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and cleanliness within the store, ensuring a safe environment for both customers and employees.
Job Requirements:
- Education:
- Grade 12 qualification required.
- A degree/diploma in business or retail-related fields is an advantage.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail leadership role preferred.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong computer literacy (experience with Microsoft or Google GSuite is a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong managerial skills with the ability to plan, lead, organize, and control store operations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
