Purpose of the Position:
As a Store Manager at PEP, you will lead a dynamic team to achieve business objectives, including driving sales, managing costs, minimizing risks, and maintaining high store standards. You will be responsible for ensuring world-class customer service, efficient operations, and a thriving team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Growth:
- Drive sales by focusing on exceptional customer service and maintaining world-class store standards.
- Ensure effective stock management and implement promotional activities.
- Stock Loss Prevention:
- Cultivate a strong store culture that minimizes stock loss through effective security measures and proper handling of stock and cash.
- Cost Management:
- Align store operations with the company’s low-cost culture by optimizing efficiencies and managing store expenses.
- Store Operations & Administration:
- Ensure all store administrative duties are completed accurately and in line with company policies and procedures.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop your team to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Take responsibility for team training and performance management to foster growth and development.
- Standards Maintenance:
- Maintain high health, safety, and housekeeping standards within the store to ensure a safe and clean environment.
Job Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
- A degree or diploma in business, retail management, or a related field is advantageous.
- Experience:
- Ideally, 1-2 years of experience in a retail leadership role.
- Skills:
- Proficient in English.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office or Google GSuite is advantageous.
- Strong managerial abilities with skills in planning, leading, organizing, and controlling store operations.
