Pep Vacancies – Store Manager – PEP Cell Jhb Carlton Centre

Purpose of the Position:
As a Store Manager at PEP, you will lead your team to achieve business goals, including driving sales, controlling costs, managing risks, minimizing stock loss, and ensuring world-class store standards. You will oversee all operations within the store to deliver an exceptional customer experience while maintaining a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Sales & Store Excellence:
    Focus on increasing sales by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store image, and managing stock efficiently. Ensure effective implementation of promotions to maximize revenue.
  • Stock & Cash Management:
    Minimize stock loss by promoting a healthy store culture, enforcing security measures, and adhering to stock and cash handling procedures.
  • Cost Control:
    Manage store expenses in line with the company’s low-cost culture by optimizing efficiency across all operations.
  • Administrative Oversight:
    Ensure all store administrative tasks are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    Lead a dynamic team by providing training, coaching, and performance management to foster growth and engagement within the team.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping within the store to create a safe environment for customers and staff.

Job Requirements:

  • Education:
    Grade 12 qualification required.
    A degree/diploma in a business or retail-related field would be advantageous.
  • Experience:
    1-2 years of experience in a retail environment with leadership responsibilities is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in English.
    • Strong computer literacy skills (Microsoft or Google GSuite experience is a plus).
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to plan, lead, organize, and control store operations effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
    • Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays.
