Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Store Manager to lead and oversee daily store operations, ensuring that store targets, innovation initiatives, and customer service standards are consistently achieved and surpassed.

Responsibilities

Stock Management

  • Ensure accurate receiving, unpacking, and merchandising of stock to keep the sales floor replenished.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels through established processes to minimize stock loss and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Oversee stockroom maintenance to meet housekeeping standards.
  • Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.

Sales Growth & Profitability

  • Analyze sales and profitability reports to collaborate with management on action plans for operational improvements, increased sales, and expenditure monitoring.
  • Review in-store product performance and provide feedback to the support center to enhance sales.
  • Identify and propose new opportunities to boost sales and increase brand awareness.

Risk Management

  • Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Customer Experience Management

  • Implement and maintain customer experience processes, including business instructions, markdowns, repricing, promotions, and general housekeeping to meet service standards.

Leadership & Development

  • Lead and motivate the store team to achieve KPIs and align with company values.
  • Identify training and development needs, focusing on talent management and succession planning.
  • Recruit, administer, and manage performance in line with company policies.

Innovation

  • Implement innovation initiatives from Head Office to enhance customer satisfaction and improve in-store processes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Grade 12.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years’ experience in retail store management.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Strong knowledge of sales and service management.
    • Proficiency in budgeting.
    • Advanced skills in MS Office.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Comprehensive understanding of retail trade, brand, customer, and product management.
