Responsibilities:

  • Stock Management:
    • Ensure accurate receipt and unpacking of stock to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
    • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes to mitigate stock loss and ensure adequate stock availability.
    • Oversee stockroom maintenance to meet housekeeping standards.
    • Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.
  • Sales Growth & Profitability:
    • Analyze sales and profitability reports to develop operational action plans, enhance sales performance, and monitor store expenditure.
    • Review and stay updated on in-store product performance to provide feedback and boost sales.
    • Identify and propose new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.
  • Risk Management:
    • Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Customer Experience Management:
    • Implement and maintain customer experience processes, including business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer feedback, and visual standards, to meet and exceed customer service expectations.
  • Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and motivate the team to achieve store KPIs and operational goals in alignment with company values.
    • Identify and address training, coaching, and development needs, focusing on talent management and succession planning.
    • Recruit, administer, and manage team performance according to company policies.
  • Innovation:
    • Implement innovation initiatives from Head Office to enhance customer satisfaction and improve in-store processes.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • 3-4 years of experience in store or retail management
  • 3-4 years of experience in sales and service management
  • Proficient in budgeting and computer literacy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of retail trade, brand, customer, and product
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for home decor and design
