Key Responsibilities

Stock Management

  • Oversee accurate stock receiving, unpacking, and replenishment on the sales floor.
  • Monitor stock levels and implement processes to reduce risks such as stock loss.
  • Maintain stockroom organization and ensure housekeeping standards are met.
  • Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.

Sales Growth & Profitability

  • Analyze store sales and profitability reports to develop action plans that drive performance.
  • Monitor in-store product performance and provide feedback to the support center.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and enhance brand awareness.

Risk Management

  • Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Customer Experience

  • Implement customer experience initiatives, including promotions, markdowns, visual merchandising, and service strategies.
  • Ensure the store meets customer service standards and fosters a welcoming environment.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and motivate the store team to achieve KPIs and business goals.
  • Identify training and development needs, focusing on talent management and succession planning.
  • Recruit, manage performance, and foster a high-performance culture.

Innovation & Store Improvement

  • Implement head office initiatives to enhance customer experience and streamline in-store operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 3-4 years of experience in retail/store management
  • Proven experience in sales and service management
  • Budgeting and financial acumen
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of retail trade, customer experience, and brand positioning
  • Business acumen with problem-solving capabilities
  • Passion for home décor and design
