Miladys is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Store Manager to oversee the daily operations at Vangate Mall. The role requires strong leadership skills to ensure store objectives, sales targets, and customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded.
Responsibilities
Stock Management
- Ensure accurate stock receiving, unpacking, and merchandising to maintain an organized sales floor.
- Monitor and manage stock levels through structured processes such as stock counts, stock takes, and stock loss action plans to mitigate risks.
- Oversee stockroom maintenance to ensure it meets housekeeping standards.
- Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.
Sales Growth & Profitability
- Analyze sales and profitability reports to implement strategies that improve store performance and manage expenses.
- Monitor in-store product performance and provide feedback to the support center.
- Identify new opportunities to boost sales and enhance brand visibility, including in-store marketing, competitor analysis, participation in local events, and driving new accounts/memberships where applicable.
Risk Management
- Conduct compliance checks, including admin audits, store audits, visual audits, and security assessments, to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain health and safety standards within the store.
Customer Experience Management
- Implement and maintain customer experience processes such as markdowns, promotions, visual merchandising, and customer feedback initiatives.
- Ensure high standards of store presentation and service delivery.
Leadership & Development
- Lead and support the store team in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational objectives.
- Identify training, coaching, and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
- Oversee recruitment, staff performance management, and adherence to company policies.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
- Three years of experience in a store managerial role.
- Strong sales and service management skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Understanding of retail trade, brand positioning, and customer engagement.
