Job Objectives:

Drive and maximize the store’s financial performance by tracking daily targets and proactively addressing sales goals, including weekly and monthly sales plans.

Manage all operational activities of the store efficiently, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration.

Oversee in-store execution of visual merchandising, ensuring the store presentation and promotional standards align with the brand image.

Lead, manage, and develop employees to ensure they are competent, motivated, and equipped to meet current and future business needs.

Schedule staff effectively in line with the Group’s labor policy and model, ensuring that each department is fully staffed.

Handle all administrative tasks in an efficient manner, including ensuring accurate weekly time and attendance records are submitted to HR.

Implement customer service initiatives that enhance the customer experience, drive customer loyalty, and meet club card participation targets.

Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders (e.g., center managers, suppliers, DCs) to ensure business objectives are met and opportunities are maximized.

Monitor customer trends, demographics, and local competitors to capitalize on business opportunities.

Foster integration and cohesion between store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams.

Cultivate a high-performing business culture that prioritizes employee satisfaction, customer experience, and shareholder value.

Knowledge:

Sound understanding of financial management principles.

Strong background in retail/FMCG and knowledge of merchandising and promotions.

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a store management role within a retail/FMCG environment with an annual turnover of at least R50 million.
-
Extensive experience in managing a large, diverse workforce.

Financial management experience, including working with budgets, profit and loss statements, and financial ratios.
Education:
-
Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%).
-
Essential: B. Degree or Diploma in retail/finance management, pharmacy, or a related field (for external applicants).
