Pep Vacancies – Store Manager – Gezina

Purpose of the Position:

As a Store Manager at PEP, you will lead your store team to achieve business goals, drive sales growth, control costs, mitigate risks, and minimize stock loss. You will ensure world-class store standards are upheld, and all store operations are managed efficiently and in alignment with company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Drive sales by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining world-class store standards, and ensuring the effective management of stock and promotions.
  • Stock Loss Prevention: Foster a strong store culture focused on minimizing stock loss through effective security measures, stock handling, and cash management procedures.
  • Cost Management: Uphold the company’s low-cost culture by ensuring operational efficiencies within the store.
  • Store Administration: Ensure all administrative tasks, such as reporting, compliance, and record-keeping, are completed according to company policies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, coach, and manage a dynamic team, fostering a culture of high performance and engagement.
  • Standards Maintenance: Maintain health, safety, and housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and clean store environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Grade 12
    • A degree/diploma in business or retail management is an advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Ideally, 1-2 years of experience in a retail leadership role.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in English.
    • Computer literate (Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite is an advantage).
    • Strong managerial skills, including the ability to plan, lead, organize, and control operations.
