Pep Vacancies – Store Manager – George

Purpose of the Position:
We are seeking a results-oriented and dynamic Store Manager to lead the George store team. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving business KPIs, including driving sales, managing costs, minimizing risks and stock loss, ensuring efficient administration, and maintaining world-class store standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Customer Service:
    • Drive sales growth by delivering exceptional customer service and upholding world-class store standards.
    • Ensure effective stock management and successful implementation of promotions.
  • Stock and Risk Management:
    • Minimize stock loss through a positive store culture and adherence to security protocols.
    • Implement and enforce cash and stock handling procedures.
  • Cost Management:
    • Maintain the company’s low-cost culture by improving store efficiency and managing costs.
  • Administration:
    • Oversee administrative tasks to ensure alignment with company guidelines.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, train, and inspire a dynamic team of “Dynamos” to achieve their best.
    • Foster a culture of learning, coaching, and performance excellence.
  • Standards and Compliance:
    • Ensure the store meets health, safety, and housekeeping standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Grade 12 is essential.
    • A degree or diploma in business or a retail-related field is advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • Ideally, 1–2 years of experience in a leadership role within a retail environment.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in English.
    • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and/or Google GSuite is an advantage.
