Job Description
As a Store Manager at Tekkie Town, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily store operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your role involves motivating the sales team, developing store-specific business strategies, managing expenses, and training new employees. You will also ensure a great shopping experience by maintaining product availability, implementing excellent housekeeping standards, staying up to date with the latest fashion trends, and minimizing stock losses.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 1-2 years of management experience in a similar retail environment
- Proficient in computer literacy
- Ability to perform well under pressure and demonstrate resilience
- Team player with strong leadership and staff management abilities
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen
- Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Resourceful with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Customer service-oriented with a focus on building relationships
- Confidence and decisiveness
- Passionate about retail and the brand
- Social media savvy and fashion-forward
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff
- Manage daily operations, including staff scheduling and performance
- Oversee store budgets (P&L and payroll)
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly administrative tasks are completed
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Maximize store profitability by setting and achieving sales targets, motivating the team to reach goals
- Manage visual merchandising and ensure excellent housekeeping standards
- Oversee inventory and stock control
- Ensure all store equipment is secured and maintained
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for both customers and employees
- Monitor and achieve store-specific sales targets (daily/weekly/monthly)
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize stock loss
