Dis-Chem Baby City is seeking a seasoned Store Manager to oversee the complete operation of our Table Bay Mall location. As the Store Manager, you will lead the team, ensure that store targets are met, manage inventory, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive approach to retail management and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day store operations, including employee management, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Ensure accurate and timely ordering of stock, and manage stock flow to the sales floor.
• Coordinate biannual stock takes in collaboration with the Store Admin Manager.
• Manage shrinkage and ensure compliance with all store policies.
• Address customer compliments, complaints, and requests promptly and effectively.
• Ensure all merchandisers meet Dis-Chem’s high standards for product display, labeling, pricing, and layout.
• Implement and maintain promotional stock and displays.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, management, and staff.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information to support store objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• At least 5 years of retail/FMCG experience, covering receiving, administration, cash office, or sales floor management
• At least 2 years of experience as a supervisor
• Proficiency in Unisolv, SAP, and QlikView
• Experience with Kronos or similar workforce management systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant retail/FMCG qualification

Core Competencies:

• Solid experience in retail store administration and management, with skills in cash office operations, stock control, and customer service
• Strong command of the English language
• Basic financial skills (GP, mark-up, VAT, etc.)
• Excellent analytical skills and time management
• Ability to manage, develop, and motivate team members
• Trustworthy, honest, and reliable
